Tom Meston

Founder & President

Tom Meston is the founder of Trillium Strategic Group, a Pittsburgh-based communications consultancy that helps organizations navigate mergers, acquisitions, rebrands, and brand integrations. With more than 30 years of senior communications leadership across seven industries, Tom specializes in helping companies successfully communicate change—aligning employees, leaders, and stakeholders around a new vision, identity, or direction.

Tom's expertise was built through leading large-scale transformation initiatives inside complex organizations. At Vitro Architectural Glass, following the acquisition of PPG Glass, he built the company's U.S. and Canada internal communications function from the ground up, creating the channels, processes, and messaging infrastructure that kept 8,000 employees informed and engaged during a period of significant organizational change.

At NEP Group, a $1.2 billion global media services company, Tom led the integration of nine acquired companies into a unified brand and directed a worldwide rebranding initiative spanning 16 countries. The effort aligned employees, customers, and business units under a single identity across every touchpoint—from websites and signage to vehicles, facilities, and communications platforms.

Earlier, at Techint Group, a $38 billion multinational industrial conglomerate, he developed and executed a brand integration campaign that unified eight legacy companies under a new global brand, helping employees understand and embrace a shared organizational identity.

Throughout his career—including leadership roles with Vitro (formerly PPG Glass), NEP Group, Westinghouse Electric, and Techint—Tom has led corporate website redevelopments, executive communications programs, employee engagement initiatives, media relations efforts, and digital workplace transformations. He has advised C-suite executives through periods of significant organizational change and prepared leaders for interviews with major national media outlets, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, FOX, and PBS.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Duquesne University and is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
